Sitia Airport

The Sitia Public Airport , is found in the region Mponta of Sitia Municipality , and is far 1 Km. from the centre of city. 
On June 7,  1984 is landed in Sitia airport, the first plane of Olympic Airways, DORNIER 228 type. Tis is the SXBHF,   that executed the first test flight, and gets staff of Olympic Aviation.

On June 9,  1984 became the openings of Sitia Public Airport.   In the 10:30 of the same day, was landed the aircraft SXBHC, that executed the first official flight,   OAL 7001.
